Social Hour. It’s a hazy, wit-style ale inspired by the classic Zombie cocktail with tropical hints of pineapple, pink guava, coriander and mint. And who knows, maybe one Social Hour will lead to another Social Hour will lead to another Social Hour and suddenly you’re standing on a bar doing a Podcast with Ruven Ortiz!

What is this? What awaits your quivering muscles and beaded brow? The answer is a cold ass beer… That’s right! We are working out like beasts and drinking beer afterward. Apparently beer is a pain reliever.
It’s the “Most Intense Happy Hour!”
Aaron Robison of Central States Beverage have collaborated with Onelife Fitness, One Light Luxury Apartments, and a gang of brewers: Boulevard, Martin City, Mothers, Ballast Point, Founders, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel, Kraftig and Dogfish Head Brewing to create an awesome marriage of beer and fitness!?
You can attend the bootcamp style workout for a full hour and socialize over beers after. Be ready to work it out poolside on the roof of the One Light Luxury Apartments. Just show up at 10AM on the designated dates of: May 20, June 24, July 22, August 19, September 23. It all about an effort to merge fun and healthy lifestyle events like a recent “Beer Yoga” class hosted by the same group of folks. Check out the awesome BEER YOGA VIDEO we created.
There are two great forces guiding many actions in life: experience and health. The experience side wants to try every flavor of beer or food while the health side wants to stay mobile enough to continue the journey for as long as possible. Is there a happy balance? We want to find out. We want our beer and to drink it too! Health benefits of moderate drinking have been debated but for sure sipping craft beer is an experience I definitely want to continue. Events like the “Most Intense Happy Hour,” allow me to set a goal like attend every single “Most Intense Happy Hour” and reap the reward of a frosty brew at the end.
I understand if beer isn’t your thing. You may simply desire to go through life in straight beast mode while ripped to shreds. But, If you are like me and want to stop and smell the hops while maintaining health then this event is for you. Can you push it hard all the way to the finish? Let’s kick some ass.
Cheers! Prost! Salud!
